I am not going to call the company a scam and from the other reviews on here they do seem to try, but the quality (of the MYSQL software specifically) is very poor. In the end we spent the weekend regenerating the data and now it is going to be a hard battle getting my money back but I will start that process with my bank. There are many deficiencies with the usability of the software overall but the critical aspect is that as part of their recovery, they generate 256 files with your data and then start over at 0 again meaning the recovery software overwrites its own recovered files! Contacted and asked for a refund and after a couple of days they passed it over to support who came back to tell me to use an alternative export (not the one I wanted or needed to use) and one that takes around 5 times longer to generate. The only problem is the save option has limitations that you cannot identify until after you have purchased. This provided a preview of the data but you were unable to save the data until you paid. Going back to a backup would mean re-generating a months worth of data and so we tried the restore software from Stellar Data Recovery. We needed to recover some data from mySQL following a powercut. The software provided simply isn't up to standard.
